Missy played Roland White's 12th annual Bill Monroe Appreciation Nights at the Station Inn on Friday, December 5th. She picked a few with Roland, long-time Nashville Bluegrass Band buddies Alan O'Bryant & Pat Enright, and Luke Bulla, Richard Bailey, Skip Gorman and Richard Starkey.

This just in… Nashville, TN - (November 6, 2008) - The Compass Records Group is thrilled to announce the signing of Missy Raines, "superstar bluegrass bassist" (The Free Lance-Star) and seven time recipient of the International Bluegrass Music Association's award for Bass Player of the Year.

will release their first full-length album, Inside Out, on Compass Records on February 10, 2009. Recorded in Nashville and produced by Raines, members of The New Hip and Ben Surratt, Inside Out features special guest appearances by Matt Flinner (mandolin), John R. Burr (piano) and Megan McCormick (guitar, vocals).

are pumped to be making their debut at Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival this weekend in Oak Hill, New York. You can hear the band at 11:30 AM Saturday morning and at 12:40 PM Sunday afternoon.
You can also pick up some master tips for upright bass and dobro, since Missy and new hip resonator guitarist Mike Witcher are part of the Grey Fox instrument workshops. Catch Missy at 2:00 PM and Mike at 5:00 PM on Saturday. Come say "Hi" at Grey Fox!
